Digital Radiography (X-Rays)

We are proud to offer digital x-ray equipment.  Our office uses the Denoptix system to record digital x-ray images. Instead of using x-ray film, a thin, flexible digital sensor is placed in the mouth.  A decreased amount of radiation is used to expose the image.  Approximately 1 minute later, the image is available for viewing on the chairside computer screen.

The digital image can be enlarged or enhanced by the computer.  These capabilities allow more thorough diagnosis. In addition, we can transmit the pictures to specialists for consultations. These high resolution images are available for printing, as well as off-site backup for security purposes.

Our staff will be happy to answer any questions that you have about digital x-ray imaging.
